About LCBGH The Lancaster County Business Group on Health
gives you a voice in the healthcare debate!

About LCBGH

Affordable healthcare is a prominent national issue. Employer-paid healthcare costs have risen at more than twice the rate of regular inflation and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 has provided additional challenges to employers providing healthcare benefits to their employees.

LCBGH was founded by the business community in 1984 and is an independent, non-profit affiliate of The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The membership of Lancaster County Business Group on Health (LCBGH) crosses public and private sectors and represents more than 60 thousand employees and their dependents. We represent a wide variety of employers -- small and large, union and non-union, and we encourage a responsible partnership between employers and employees to create an environment for the wise use of health benefits at affordable costs.

LCBGH is recognized as a resource and advocate for quality healthcare in Lancaster County, working to help local businesses adapt to the challenges of employer-sponsored healthcare. We share real time information employers can use and provide educational and networking forums for companies seeking to make intelligent decisions on health benefits for the local workforce.

LCBGH promotes a collaborative dialogue among all the healthcare stakeholders -- purchasers, insurers, medical providers, and brokers. We monitor legislative issues and advocate for reform on such issues as tort reform and malpractice reform. And locally, LCBGH examines quality healthcare delivery issues.
